About the Press

Rook & Regent Press was founded on a simple conviction: that the great sporting tournaments deserve to be remembered as carefully as the great novels.

We are a small, independent house. We publish one volume for each major tournament — from the World Cup in football to the World Cup in cricket — and keep an evergreen library edition of every final perpetually in print. Every book is a compendium of quizzes, word searches, ciphers and curiosities, set in the language of the discerning fan.

We do not publish trivia. We publish collector’s quiz & puzzle books — bound between deep navy boards and evergreen cloth, foil-stamped in gold, and set in Cinzel and Cormorant Garamond. Each edition is typeset by hand at the press and released exclusively on Amazon in ten marketplaces, from Los Angeles to Tokyo.
